I do think that I have the leadership ability in handling a group work as I have experienced of being a group leader for six semester in University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). I am thinking why I have the potentials to be a leader as my group members tend to select me as their leader. Is it due to my in-born ability or I am brave enough to try leadership and hence it tarnishes my skills? The answer is, I think the combination of both makes me who I am today in managing leadership. Of course, being a leader is definitely not a easy job. He or she needs to consider different kinds of aspect and be competent in thinking all the possibilities when planning or even executing the work. In addition, we need to consider as well the emergency plan that arise if anything happen such as crisis.

I do acquire the skills of a leader but not manager as the ways of conduct are greatly varied between leader and manager. For a leader, I do influence my group members or named as subordinates to achieve a specified goal or mission. I am the one who set the direction and facilitate decision. The main objective of a leader is to promote growth, development and change for effectiveness by minimizing the risks (Surbhi, 2015). This is completely different for a manager. A manager is a person where he or she needs to manage an organization and is responsible for planning, direction, coordination and control (Surbhi, 2015). In addition, he or she needs to plan details, applying a transactional style, able to make decisions and to achieve a required results by taking risks. Manager also needs to react to change, avoid conflict and able to organize people. Therefore, it requires more efforts and energies for a manager than a leader (Surbhi, 2015).
