My Mandala Experience

I was born in Yuma, Arizona but I was raised in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora because of my parents. I was studying there, until my parents took the decision of sending my 3 siblings and me to study in the United States. This is my 5th year in this country and although it has been a little bit challenging, I have faced all kind of barriers such as learning the second language, here I am studying my first year of college. In my family we are 7 members: 2 older brothers, 2 younger sisters, both of my parents and me, but my parents are divorced and my older brother (first child of my parents) died right after he was born. His name was Jesus and I like to mention him because I feel that including him, even when he is not with us physically, makes my family complete. With this in mind, the mandala project is a significant representation of my educational experiences because it reminds me where I came from, what I have faced and also makes me see how much I have improved since …show more content…
But, since I started growing up and changing the way I see things, I have realized that my dad has been the most who has been pushing forward through my education. He always supported me since I was in elementary until now. For this reason, I choose my dad as my present educational experience. We, as a family, have faced a lot of problems such getting them divorced. But, without caring of any circumstances my dad is the first person to motivate us to keep going and not stop. He is always trying to do his best, he always encourages us to do what we want. But with me, since I am first generation in college, he gives me all the potential to get my bachelors degree. He strongly believes in me I think he is very proud of me because I have demonstrated him that I am mentally and emotionally strong and smart and no matters what happens I still going to accomplish my
