INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this assignment 2 essay is to reflect on the ethical issue which occurred in my workplace 2 years ago. This report entirely discusses on the experience on the ethical issues, the emotions and feelings I have gone through during the phase, and on how I manage to handle and overcome the dilemma with the right ethical approach. Lastly, I concluded the essay with the lessons I have learnt from the reflective process.
The incident occurred when I was working as a qualified financial accountant to a local private company. The company’s operations are related to tourism, and has its principal asset which is a large hotel in an urban city. The company has been owned by 2 directors- a husband and wife-who are highly active engaged to run their family business. The company has been performing well for the past 10 years. The directors are quite famous in the local community and highly respected.
In the beginning, when I first joined the company, it was difficult for me to get along with the directors and his fellow staffs. However, as I’m still in probationary period of employment, I learn to maintain a good relationship with them. After a month of working, I was exposed to access their confidential data of the

The director laughed at me and replied the money should be back in the hotel bank account by the middle of summer. He mentioned that the cheques are needed urgently to settle the outstanding directors’ loan accounts at the design studio, as the year end is approaching. Once the year end has passed, the money should be returned to the hotel company and a supporting credit note will be received. Although I was hesitant to sign, due to family and personal commitments, I had to do it unethically. Approximately after 6 months of working experience in the company, they confirmed my position.
