My CT’s planner has little notes about the lessons and activities she planned to teach. She also had different colored dots next to each note. The color-coded dots meant whether or not she needed to prepare the stations, prep the student for a new lesson, or no preparation at all. After watching the planning session and helping cut papers for a couple of assignment, I realized the dedication and hard work these teachers had to put in to create such an enriched learning environment. I found out that the first year of teaching is going to require a lot of overtime but over the years it will be easier and you will be able to have insightful information, lessons, and activities to share with one another. The students said the writing would get better. She showed a couple of examples of student’s progress in their writing and drawing. Once the students were released to go to their tables to start writing, they seemed more excited to write and convey their ideas on paper. They seemed to strive to better their writing after the teacher showed them how much they were progressing throughout the year. This was a very powerful moment to witness, to see the gears turning in the children’s head as if they were thinking, “Yeah, I am writing and drawing better. I can do this! I am
