Reflective Essay On Leadership

This class has helped me realize my potential as a leader. While not always great at team efforts in the past, I have since become adept at handling different personalities and situations. My ideas of leadership have been affected as well. While not totally gone, my old notions have been impacted by new ideas of team dynamics. Aiding this learning of new ideas is the group I was assigned to. I have made friends with the members of this group and would trust them with almost anything I would normally need to rely on others for. There were both high and low points in the semester, but I have not let them dampen my outlook, choosing to focus on the high points. In all, I feel this class was worth taking.

I enjoyed learning about them through the examples given as well. These samples came in the form of classic movies, showing instances of great leadership skills. They would need to be ambitious and clever to compete with their impressive classmates. It is a rewarding experience, though challenging. You are likely to grow into a more confident person afterward. Those coming in should keep in mind their own ideas of leadership and how they are applicable to the class and real life, but be open to the new ideas being introduced. I advise making friends with your group and trying your hardest to bond with them. There will be high points and low points through the class. Do not be discouraged and continue to develop as a leader. In closing, this class has taught me to be a more confident and ambitious person, for which I am

I found that the most challenging part of this class was the outside time commitment. You did tell us that we would be volunteering and doing a lot for those two assignment. But even outside that this class has needed the most time outside of class than any other I have ever taken. Between the weekly readings and part B, C and D I feel that we put a lot of time in outside of the classroom. Of course our class did rarely take the fully allotted time and one could have probably done most of this work if they stayed until the class was over.…

Everyone one contributes there knowledge in their own way. Positive change can only be attained through a collaborative effort; it takes a team to turn awareness into action. Personally, I have learned that I still have a lot of growing and developing to do. However, it has made me aware of the changes I need to make in order to become a more aware individual.…
