Reflection: Hi Team Meetings

Hi Team,

For next week as previously discussed in our meeting earlier, I’ve outlined items that I expect each of you to work on in while I’m away from the office. I am postponing our Team Meeting until after the New Year. This should give everyone time to review our Server Maintenance document and notate any concerns.

Greg: SOTI project. Provisioning our SOTI Dev/Test/QA server. We still must resolve the SHA-1/SHA-2 challenge. You should follow the same process as we’ve done for getting SOTI Prod provisioned with respect to collaborating/communicating with OIT. Additionally, continue to monitor any Kalido or QLIK requests submitted to the helpdesk. Also, continue to remediate server vulnerabilities, specifically the Apache upgrades on Test. Release patches on servers, in the manner that we’ve done previously, identify a maintenance window, email stakeholders in advance, create snapshots, perform maintenance, and the finally email

The processes to get other servers provisioned should be the way you get the 2nd Docsvault server provisioned. Continue to get comfortable with the Office 365 online applications https://www.office.com. As discussed, submit your AD Purge Report to HR/MSD and convey the 2 week timeframe when they are expected to confirm which AD accounts can officially be purged. Once that date is establish, be sure to email an update to all parties of your purge effort. Continue documenting any known issues related to the Office 365 migrations. For our Office 265 tickets submitted to OIT, if they haven’t been resolved, periodically check-in with OIT to have them provide updates and expected resolutions. Additionally, research how we can have PDQ Inventory scan our assets on a scheduled basis, (e.g., once every day at 10 am or 2pm) and then establish a periodic scan schedule. AD report to HR/MSD, PDQ Inventory scanning and updates to IT support tickets are due by Friday

Currently the packaging engineering team only provides the approval for the qualification, once we get their approval is when my team in conjunction with planning will plan the run out. Not sure why Bethany was under the impression that the transitioning was in two weeks. Stephen is stating that final qualification results will be ready in two weeks and that we will need to plan the run out carefully in order to ensure a hard transition. We have not agreed on any transition plan yet. I think that once we get the new process rolling, we will be resolving any potential issues as a team and we will be 100% aligned.…

I had the opportunity of being able to attend and observe The Serenity Seekers, an open Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) twelve step meeting. Upon arrival, I received a warm welcome by many different group members. They introduced themselves to me and one of the members even brought me pamphlets that provided me with information regarding what their A.A. program entailed. At first, I was apprehensive about going to an A.A. meeting; however, the members were all accepting of my presence, which made me feel comfortable. By accepting me, the members were displaying cohesiveness, the primary therapeutic factor allowing A.A. members to feel a sense of belonging, acceptance, and validation amongst the group.…

On September 11, Kayla, Taylor and I attended the Parklane Group AA meeting. This meeting was covering chapter eight in the book Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions by Bill W. Before reading chapter eight, the leader of the AA meeting read aloud the rules and upcoming events, he then had us introduce ourselves. I was surprised to see that every time someone wanted to speak they first stated their name and referred to themselves as an alcohol addict. I thought this was only done in movies. However, I believe this step could help in the road to recovery.…

According to Boyles (2004), “teachers talk with students to monitor their progress as well as to set goals and help them solve problems” (p.75). Teachers should conduct writing conferences in order to assess and evaluate the writing progress of their students. The purpose of writing conferences is finding the strengths and weaknesses of their writing to improve and develop the skills the student already has. Depending on the students writing the teacher facilitates interventions to improve the students writing skills. Teachers should frequently plan writing conferences to check-in on their students and the progress they have made.…

The third AA meeting I attended was at Bridgewater Congregational Church, in Bridgewater Connecticut, at 7:00pm on Friday June 8, 2018. The past two meetings I attended were open book, however this meeting was a twelve- step meeting. The language used in this meeting was the same as the two other meetings I observed. Many members mentioned the words “higher power”, “prayer”, and “powerlessness”. The man who ran the meeting introduced himself, read the preamble and asked if there were any new members present.…

When I delivered the teaching session, the experience was an overall success with students showing a clear interest and engaging in the lesson (Table 1, question 10, mean 4.3). The teaching began with a clear introduction to the key learning points for the whole session (Table 1, question 5, mean 4.3), which allowed the students to understand what the session was going to entail. This was beneficial to those who needed to see the big picture to see how topics fit together[1]. I further explained that the session will be split into three sections and explained that certain learning outcomes will be covered in each section. Student feedback stated that there was “enthusiastic teaching in appropriate sized teaching bites.”…

I was fortunate enough to attend the 2016 H. W. Sumners Leadership Conference where I would have the opportunity to meet a unique pool of influential individuals. Most of my leadership experiences had come from group projects with students who I were familiar with, and the conference gave me the chance to become a team with strangers from across the United States and Mexico. I was not aware of how much I was actually going to get out of the conference. Through the elective workshops, I learned much more about my leadership style and who I could become as a leader. Through the speakers, I learned about the power of creating a vision and pursuing with unyielding faith.…
