In this image, a soldier is seen walking in a barren desert by himself. What could he possibly be doing in such an intense environment? One of the basic trainings from a soldier or any individual who is part of one of the branches of the military is endurance. Soldiers are trained to persevere through harsh climates and terrains in order to accomplish their missions. Such environments include jungle regions, cold regions, and as seen in the fourth image, desert regions. The latter being one of the most treacherous places because the desert isn’t like a jungle or tundra. Its temperatures can reach high levels that could cause a person to suffer heat stroke if he/she doesn’t have the necessary items to survive. It is home to many different species that can pose a threat to people. Snakes are one of them since they can camouflage into the surroundings and can attack before an individual can react. But the most dangerous thing about the desert isn’t just the animals or even the heat. It’s the environment itself that poses the most threat to those who traverse it. Some may believe that it is false and some might agree with this. Well, there are crucial things to know about this environment. The temperatures in a desert can sometimes reach at dangerous levels during the day and can reach freezing temperatures during the night. Also, sandstorms can make travelling through the landscape a hassle if a soldier or anyone isn’t well prepared for them when they happen. The final image is a scene of a desert ruin. In the foreground, there is a palm tree. And, in the background, there are what appear to be rock formations in the shapes of destroyed house.
