The definition of serving others is where we show love and kindness to everyone. Even to those who do not treat us well. We can serve others in many different ways. Serving others can be shown through relationships, work, government, worship, and prayer. One of the most valuable ways to serve others is to show them that we care, helping without putting yourself first, and expecting nothing in return. In my personal life I have demonstrated serving others before my own and helping them without anything in return. An example of how empathetic I am I’ve helped people that were stuck in snow on the side of the street. There can be different ways people can show leadership. Showing leadership can be seen in businesses, sports teams, and the military. The most valuable way to show leadership are believing in yourself and others, build relationships with your team, communication, and lead by example. In my personal life, I have lead by example of being a leader on the football team. When my group goes into the weight room to go lift, I lead my group by pushing my teammates to their full potential. Some people need motivation to stay focused and doing what they need to do. Me being captain my job is to lead. I motivate my teammates and they motivate me by believing in me. This shows leadership because I’m communicating with my team by helping each other out. At first when I was chose to be a leader, I didn’t because of my ego I couldn’t. As time passed I followed the road paved before me and got involve with the team our great community. When I enter the “real world”, servant leadership can take me a long way to success, and I’ve come to realize this besides football you can apply this and yourself to everyday life.
