Personal Narrative: Pip's Life

Improved Essays
Have you ever seen the embodiment of funny, awkward, lazy, and smart in the same person? That's me. Ok, maybe not the last one. Anyways, hi. It’s me, Pip, currently writing this paper and not even sure if I’ll finish it on time. Whatever device you’re reading this on , be ready to go through the 16 year adventure called Pip’s life. I know. It might seem boring but hopefully I’ll change your opinion on that.
So this little adventure begins on a certain day where people’s hearts either get broken or fulfilled. Yes. You guessed it, I was born in Valentine's Day on 2001. Yay! Special huh? No not really. The only thing that’s special about that is that people actually remember your birthday. Anyways ,moving on, I actually don’t really remember

I play a lot of fun instruments including guitar, piano, baritone but never mastered none. Played ice hockey(also broke my arm playing it) and soccer. Same thing, none mastered. One could argue that it takes so many hours of practice to master something. I guess they were right, since I would have mastered something but instead I chose to play computer games on every free time I have. To tell the truth, I’ve spent way over 1500 hours playing computer games alone on my free time last year. I know that doesn’t sound much for a year, but I was an exchange student in Germany! But we’ll get back to that later. Speaking about that, my favorite computer game of all time has got to be the Counter Strike franchise. I’ve been playing it on and off for nearly 5-6 years now because it was introduced by my cousin when i was 10. I say “on and off” because one year I kinda got the worst groudings ever: 8 months of no computer games. Yes, that’s right. 8 months. Maybe that doesn’t sound that bad for you, but for me that was really heartbreaking. I really loved to play games and had to read books or practice piano instead of playing games. I obviously got back to gaming and here I am! Writing this essay on my very own gaming PC. However, there’s always a slight twist to everything. Gaming is not really my everything, of course. I probably exaggerated a little bit up there, but I do like to …show more content…
The goal of the first day was to mainly help users who can’t log in to their device. After a long 10 hours of work, I returned home and thought that I would maybe like to be a computer engineer since I feel like I know more about a computer more than an average person does and would like to learn/delve more into this subject. Either way, the internship continued for about one more week and I was really proud of myself. Hopefully I will get to go to a university, maybe in Germany or USA, with a good reputation for computers. Well well well, here we are on the last planned paragraph which is so called “conclusion.” This is honestly the longest paper I’ve wrote about myself. Anyhow, we just went through nice highlights/goals of my 16 year old self in a few pages. Whether it’ll be from brotherly fights, long punishments, and exchange program in Germany. I really hope I changed your opinion of my “boring” life to at least something positive and learned some facts and goals about me. Of course my little adventure doesn’t end now and It’s probably getting going to get a new challenge to experience pretty

Computers didn’t play much of a role at first in the gaming culture. At first the gaming industry was dominated by gaming consoles such as the Xbox, PlayStations, and the many Nintendo consoles. I was born on January 23, 1993. It is interesting to know that controversies and conflicting issues trailed our society at that time, same way they do now. On the day of my birth, three important issues occurred. First, President Clinton removed five restrictions on abortion placed by previous administrations. The promulgation laid the foundation of a liberal America where people are allowed to live their lives as freely as possible.…

It was May 20th, 2015, a warm and extremely beautiful spring day, when a memory that could last a lifetime was created. I had the day all planned out and was ready for all of the adventures that would be remembered for years to come. With this being his first birthday since we began dating, I made sure to plan an exciting day that would be followed by revealing my big news that I had in store. He pulled up to my house early in the morning, in his little grey Civic, and our day of creating memories had officially commenced. I got the opportunity to do my internship at Houston Methodist West Hospital. I have been working for Methodist for the past 4 years in our registration department and out of those four years, I have had the opportunity to work with 3 different management teams. Our organization implemented a strategy called AIDET, (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explain, and Thank you) to make this process work effectively. As our patient were very impressed with our ICARE values, (Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence)…

Gaming today is widely known as part of our cultural scene. Computer and video games have come a long way since the days of Pac-Man, Frogger, Tetris, Super Mario, Angry birds and Tic-Tac-Toe, and so have those who have played them. Nowadays, games are enjoyed by all type of players and backgrounds and parents are more involved in making sure that the ones their children plays are age-appropriate. Although, the initial concern on playing video games is that it is not an active way for children and adult to spend their time, even though nearly 70percent of American households play video games. The evolution of video games has evolved over the years; the odyssey game was primitive, displaying only spot of light on the TV screen, and it required…
