As we sing and dance together our brains synchronize, this creates and maintains personal connections and experiences. This is important for developing meaningful bonds amongst people and societies Through music and movement, we become actively engaged and convey our feelings. It is a form of communication and puts us in touch with our thoughts and emotions. We are able to express sympathy, affection, love, and honesty.
This contributes to the development of a culture by binding people together and building relationships. Music and movement can positively affect our mood, ease difficult tasks, reduce friction, and achieve goals include building a structure, protesting a conflict, or enduring hardship. Through this thinking, feelings of connections progress and societies develop an understanding on the importance of unity. When the tragedy of 9/11 stuck our country, the music expressed memories, emotions, strength, and perseverance as a nation.

Knowledge songs transmit knowledge that binds art and science. This is achieved through songs about family, history, politics, and moral lessons, but include the cues of music through rhythm, structure, and melody. Music reinforces and assists in memorization and encoding knowledge. Songs evoke memory, informs cultures, encodes lessons, and is ideally adapted to human brain. We are still able remember the lyrics to a song that we haven’t sung in years. Music inspires creativity and cognitive development.
