Group Dynamics In Team Instinct

The Group dynamics within our group ‘Team Instinct’ varies from day to day. Depending on what type of mood we are all in, our group seems to take on different group roles or tasks without even realizing it. Some days our group can work very well with a plethora of us being initiators and coordinators, while the rest turn more towards being the recorders and instigators. The next day the roles and tasks could be flipped, and some of us could be doing the opposite job of which we did yesterday. This is one of the things that the group does well. We are all able to take on a certain role and, perpetuate to work towards the goal at hand. So that the group as a whole can strive. But in my opinion, I did not complete my task as the team leader. But I was rather an authoritative figure that just told people what to do. I do not feel I completed my task as the leader, because of how much we had failed as a group. We did not, as a whole complete the assigned task. I take responsibility for our failure. Even though the effort to fail doesn 't come from one person.
What I did was endeavoring to collaborate with other members of the group to get the job done. By doing this I did not take into consideration as much as I should have, what the task at hand was. For that I am responsible. Though I endeavor to ascertain that everyone feels comfortable and does not have any anxiety about the task they have. I do believe that next term, I can do much better
What I have learned, by being the team leader is that I need to take charge and put my foot down. That I need to be more open to other forms of communications to prevent what transpired this term, from happening in future

Composing, storming, norming, performing and terminating or reforming. This is very key to remember when it comes to discussing what some of the challenges that the group faced this term. Because there is nothing that was visually perceived to be an improvement. So considering that as a group, we should continually move forward, and reach the caliber of norming and performing with great ease. To where, as a group, we work as a single entity, in lieu of four separate units. This term we moved backward, the dynamics of the group suffering because: in lieu of comforting and availing one another out, setting the work out equipollent, setting a goal and working towards it, having certain tasks and working towards them. We became too comfortable and commenced acting too casual when it comes to accomplishing the task at hand. The quality of work suffered because of this, and it showed. It was a large let down and concern for our director Rachel Schultz. As she had watched us grow as a group and become better by collaborating. Hopefully, in the next term such things do not transpire and as a group, we can move forward to becoming
