Udaleku Narrative

Udaleku is a basque camp for ages ten to fifteen, and we stay there for two weeks. This year, Udaleku 2017, was held in Chino, California. We stay with a family while we are there and this year we were hosted by two sisters, Candida and Begonia Echeveria. My family included my two sisters, Juliette and Isana, and my very good friends from last year, Mari and Gigi. The first day we drove down and went to the basque center to check- in, and reunited with my friends I had last saw a year ago. You can probably guess how that went.... The next few days there were just “normal days”. On a normal day we would get to the basque center at about 7 for breakfast then get our stuff and go to our classes. I had talked to my mom the night before and she reminded me the best way to Disneyland is to get the fast passes so the next day, the youngest out of the group I was the mom, and kept us organized and on track of time. We hit Splash Mountain about five times, used many fast passes, bought time on Winnie the Pooh, and the Tea Cup but I found myself really enjoying those too. Time went by fast in lines with my friends, I’m sure many people really liked how big our group was and the convenience of it. We went to the leather bracelet shop and got matching white leather bracelets with the letter of our names on them. We didn’t leave until it closed at 10 and were exhausted but all had a great time.
The next day was Independence Day and everyone slept in and class didnt start till 8. That night we went to our friend, Jackson’s house to celebrate with fireworks, volleyball, basketball, and a intense water fight. Brooke and played basketball against Jackson and Eneko, they were good but we were better struggling during the entire game, both teams agreed next point wins.
