Writing this reflection about the experience of doing the professional project with a team has made me realize that communication is the most vital part in the project not only with clients but also with group members. My group has an important client, which is the Brisbane Airport Corporation. As we all know that Brisbane airport has a strict security system, which means we should accept security check when we enter the inside airport and their staff will follow us wherever we go in the airport. This is a little bit complex than other projects but more interesting.
The most difficult things in this project we both felt is the data collection because we should go to the airport several times and it is far away from city and our house. The long distance from city to the airport was not the only thing we should face, making the appointment with the airport to do observation was also a crucial thing. Our team members had different timetable on account of different other courses are enrolled this semester. So, making our team timetable is a good way to decide the time we can go to collect data. Then we sent email to ask whether we can go to do observation, and we were waiting for a week to get the approval from the airport. I felt very anxious when waiting the email but …show more content…
The first thing was the communication. Things can change very quickly and dramatically because of a real-life project, we cannot make everything happened as our planned. It is impossible to control everything. Therefore, keeping in touch with our clients is significant to make better decisions when we face some problems. Moreover, getting the feedback form clients is also vital to make sure the project on the rails. On the other hand, communicating with group members is also the important thing. We need to discuss what we should do the next step instead of some’s individual decision. This is a team
