White as white can be. I am so white that I go from regular to sunburn in T-Minus 5 minutes. In all seriousness though, I believe you want my family background. I know the background for some of my family, but not all of it; frankly it has never been a subject that interested me very much. My grandfather on my mother’s side traced his family line to Eastern Europe: mainly Prussia (territory prior to WWI that is now Germany and Poland). I do not know about the descent of my mother’s mother. On my father’s side the Reese’s were from all over. I know from talking to an aunt that we have: German, Scandinavian, Welsh (Reese is the “western” version of the name “Rhys,”) Texan, and Cherokee. I know Texan is not a race, but I include it as they are a strange and interesting people all on their own. I cannot confirm the validity of this claim though; but I thought I heard it from an Aunt who is our families’ resident genealogist. My father confirmed that her ancestors (I guess my ancestors as well) owned large plantations in the south. That means it is highly likely that her side of the family were owned slaves as nearly every person I have encountered in life with the last name Ogletree is African American (when freed the slaves would typically take the last name of their owners as they didn’t have last names of their own). …show more content…
I would say my grandfather is the closest thing to a role model or hero for me. He was awesome (I don’t know why, he just was), and being the oldest grandchild, he spoiled the hell out of me. After my grandmother died, I would spend the summers with him and we would do everything together. Many of my best qualities come from him. The one I tell people the most about me; that I am methodically impulsive, comes from him. I make sure that any time I want something; I research the heck out of it, and then when I am positive that it is a good or a good deal I “have to have it,” and nothing will stand in my way from getting it. I probably like this one the best as it has to deal primarily with spending money, which is one of my primary
