We are all born into cultures, families and communities with certain values we
naturally inherit. But in order to figure out who we are, we have to revisit those
inherited values, and decide for ourselves what to believe, or what to value. We
tend to just believe and continue with whatever our parents and teacher taught
us. Here, I would like to share my gender identity story and how I became who I
am today.

All of our parents prioritize culture and religion when raising us. We
were not prone to become an opposite gender from what we were because we

As if all of our cultural education is not enough from our parents and friends,
our teachers are the same too. I have a feeling that their duty is just to repress
our thinking. Teachers from my school mainly had the same mentality. So even if
there is any rare parents of students in that school are not so influenced by the
culture, there will be our teachers to mess the student up by feeding them with
all the typical cultural issues that we don’t need in our life. So as you can see
from now,there is no any way or chance for anyone to become transgender after
having their parents, teachers and friends with the same cultural values in them
to vanish that kind of thinking from our mind. For me personally, my experience
when I entered university back in my country was totally different. I went to an
international university and it is more of an upper class place there because the
students who are enrolled there were all rich and the most important part I
would say that their parents are more educated and mostly from overseas
