True Desire Definition

The first subject in this series is desire. Desire is a significant part of the equation. If you have no desire to do something, will you give it your all? Think of it like this; you wake up every morning, grab a cup of coffee, head to work and see the same people you see every day. You sit at your desk and think to yourself why am I still working at this job? Why am I still working this 9-5? You have no desire to work at your job. Are you giving your job 100%? The answer is, more than likely not.

Webster’s Dictionary defines Desire as; (v) to long or hope for.

In my previous post, I challenged you to think about what success means to you. What are you longing or hoping for? Are you wanting a great change in your life? Are you tired of working that 9-5 job? Everybody has their own way of staying motivated. Hopefully, you grow to develop your own ways and teach others. A few common ways include: reminding yourself of your goals, finding a mentor and consistently recapping yourself of the rewards.
Remind yourself of your goals: I would recommend writing your goals down on a piece of paper or in the notes section of your phone. It is important to remember the famous equation Short Term = Long Term (ST=LT). If you achieve your short term goals, you will achieve your long-term goals. Set time aside each day to review them. This will help keep you motivated and focused!
Find a Mentor: In my opinion, this may be the most important step. Also, included in this step is listening to people who have the same end goal. Finding someone who can constantly remind you of your goals and help you along the way is vital. Especially someone who has already achieved that goal. They will be able to help lead you in the appropriate direction when you are having trouble. They will also know what to say to help you stay
