Something that has affected me recently is that I have not been in a serious relationship in a while. When I mention this to my friends, often times one of the things that they say to me is that the problem I have is that, it is not clearly distinguishable that I am gay. I find myself now occasionally questioning whether or not an outfit I am putting on, or even when I am buying clothes, is “gay enough.” Also, this has transcended into my everyday lifestyle, as in I have to talk like a stereotypical gay, I have to be up-to-date on the new fashion trends, and have a clean room or car and if I do not match the accepted stereotypes my friends point this out as I am not “gay
