I can’t say I approve of ending a human’s life if we aren’t 100% sure he or she committed the crime. There is no possibility coming back from death so it’s essential to have all the facts before injecting a possible innocent civilian. In 1984 Kirk Bloodsworth was sent to death for the rape and murder of a young girl in Maryland. The factor that incriminated him was an eye witness report. He was thankfully found innocent due to DNA testing. It’s crazy to know that 10 people were found innocent in 2003 for wrongful evidence. An eye for an eye, it’s a punishment sentenced upon the offender equivalent to the suffer of the victim. The death penalty should be a less extreme vision of that phrase. Depending on the severity of your crime or the number killed in the act is over 3 than the criminal should be executed as long as the defendant is 100% guilty. With more guilty prisoners being executed, jails and prisons will have a lower inmate population. Having the fear of being found and executed for taking loves of others will make people think twice before ending a life.
