Ree Drummond Ree Drummond is a chef that is more famously known as “Pioneer Woman” and more famously known for her southern cooking. She goes by that nickname because she lives on a ranch in Oklahoma, raising cattle and children using a lot of ingredients that they find or make on the ranch. Her children include 2 daughters named Alex and Paige, she also has 2 sons named Tod and Bryce. She is married to a cowboy named Ladd, who is the main reason why she is living on the ranch. Ree also has many dogs that she likes to baby, even when they are not hers. She has often called herself crazy dog lady because she has many of her own and would pet any others she saw. She named herself Pioneer Woman and her blog was originally named ‘Confessions of a Pioneer Woman.” Nearly a year after starting her blog, Ree submitted her first recipe onto the blog and it was on how to make steak. That was her first big hit and is what put her website on the map. In that same year, 2007 she won the Bloggie for Best kept secret weblog. The next year she won the Best food weblog and Best writing of a weblog at the Bloggies. A year later, 2009 at the Bloggies her blog won Weblog of the year, Best food, Best designed, Best writing, best photography and Most humorous weblog. Also in 2009 she submitted her first cookbook titled The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl Then again in 2010 and again in 2011 she won the Weblog of the year award. Also in 2011 her cookbook From Black Heels to Tractor Wheels- A Love Story got the second spot on the New York Times Best sellers list.
