The Corsica River The Red Kayak is a novel by Priscilla Cummings. The setting in The Red Kayak is important for several reasons. The first reason the Corsica River is where the story takes place, the second reason is a major key because 8th at is the location where Brady’s friend Ben died, another reason the setting is important is because Digger’s grandfather’s farm which the, DiAngelo's bought and built a mansion on the land, which made Digger so upset that he freaked out and drilled a hole into the kayak. The setting is where the story takes place and if there wasn't a setting then the story would be really hard to follow, uninteresting and you wouldn’t have a visual image in your head.…

When analyzing the setting from the book and the movie sometimes you will have comparisons or contrasts. For example the difference in the book The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, The place where Crane and the townspeople reside is called Greensburg or Try Town but Sleepy hollow is actually the nearby river. While in the movie version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Sleepy hollow is the name of the town. Also there is a similarity of the setting to the book and the movie, the author and the director both had a dark feel in the movie and book. The next setting I analyzed is Rappaccini's Daughter the difference in the book Giovanni is from Italy.…

The setting is pretty general, but there is really no need for it to be specific. The setting plays a key role in this story, because she struggles with her Chinese heritage as an American citizen living in the United States. The setting acts as an antagonist because her Chinese heritage causes her to feel out of place in her birthplace. California is the main contributor to the conflict, because there probably wouldn't be a conflict if she was born over in China to begin…

He is a man confined in a small town his whole life with only the adventure he desires in his own imagination to entertain him. Her tapes included a map with special markings throughout the town. I think she wanted her listeners to walk in her shoes as well as listen to her stories. The way the author introduces these places, I believe that these places may exist, particularly everywhere!…
