Gun Violence has been a disputed topic in the United States today. Gun Violence has taken a toll of many lives in many cities over the United States. About each year there are 12,000 gun related homicides in this country. Gun violence has killed millions of people who have been involved in robberies, assaults, mass shootings, and even suicides or in many cases have been accidental or unintentional. Many of these crimes have been committed by people who have no right to purchase a firearm in the first place. Between the years 2010-2014 about 62% of firearm deaths were reported to be from suicides. Unintentional shootings of children are documented to be one hundred unintentional deaths occur every 34 hours the ages being 19 and under.There have been about 126 mass shootings between the years of 2000-2014. America’s gun homicide rate is 25 times the average rate than any other country following the other countries such as Canada, Portugal, Ireland, Italy and etc. I believe such as the American …show more content…
With reducing firearms would reduce gun violence and decrease a lot of death being held against the use of guns. Reducing gun violence would change the world drastically especially when making the laws about who can and cannot own a firearm. The world would be a better place if everybody wasn’t allowed to get their hands on a firearm now a days it is so easy to do so. This can be done by creating stricter background check laws and laws on who can own guns. This topic is very much to be accomplished in our current political environment because it would put less people in harm and there would possibly be less deaths involving mass shootings, robberies, or even unintentional shootings. The government with the help of the President should look more into this issue mainly because it would be protecting the citizens and keeping them in safe
