Arkansas, known for its Southern Interior Highlands, including the Ozarks and the Ouachita mountains, hosts an abundance of flourishing cities, with one of the most populous being Little Rock. Besides being the capital and one of the most visited cities in Arkansas, Little Rock is known for many of its attractions, food, and most importantly it’s historical events. Little Rock was established in November of 1851 and derived its name from a rock formation along the “La Petite Roche” river. It is also the county seat of Pulaski County, which may contribute to the reason why this thriving city is so populous.
