America’s Choice brand is a generic brand owned by Food Basics USA. They are a lower priced store brand product. With these three brands in mind, we came to the realization that brand plays an important role in which product the interview participants preferred. Out of a total of 25 participants, 10 liked Coke, 8 liked Pepsi and 7 liked America’s Choice. Coke mainly targets the age range 17-25 as the young adult era. Coke is successfully selling in over 200 countries but not only to the younger generation, but also families. In a study on BlogSpot, customers said “this perception of the brand by the consumer leads to a high degree of loyalty and makes the purchasing decision more automatic. Coca Cola has been successful by using Unique Selling preposition as “Live the Coke side of life”, related to joy and happiness.” Families prefer to purchase Coca Cola because of the positive image it exudes.
