The Vintage Ranch in Sacramento, California have a bull sale and a female sale every year, which can average $30,000 to $50,000 an animal. In 2000, the Vintage Angus Ranch sold a cow with her heifer at her side for $850,000, an average for $425,000 apiece. Schaff Angus Valley Ranch has an annual bull sale, in 2016 one of their yearling bulls sold for $725,000. The bull’s genetics sold for millions across the world, siring thousands and thousands of offspring from the United States to South America, New Zealand, Australia, and Africa. Though this experience it has shown that the Black Angus is a sensational animal providing beef, and genetics, a business and a hobby. It has shown uniqueness and on a personal note I am proud to be the son of an Angus rancher. The Black Angus has not just provided for the U.S. but for my family and I. Learning about this breed has given the thought of even when you’re at the lowest point you should never give up on your dreams. You should keep fighting and never stop until get what you’ve worked for.
