Recycling Laws

Recycling laws such as the GatesburgGoGreen Initiative are bogus and should not be adopted by any community in the United states. This is just another way for local goverments to abuse their power. Not only would they write tickets and fines, but they would be invading our privacy. Recycling is a great idea but, should by no means be inforced by local governments. First off, if we accept laws that force us to recycle, law enforcement will take it to extremes we never could have imagined before. Just as the " No Recycling Laws for Gatesburg" article says, " If we aren't careful, Gatesburg will start to feel like the United Kingdom". This is not what we want. Their laws on trash and recycling are rediculous. No one wants to get a ticket for accidently putting a rotten potato into the trash bin instead of the compost bin. …show more content…

Yhe " No Recycling Laws for Gatesburg" article says, " The propsal requires that radio-frequency identification computer chips be attached to each bin.". “Recycling all of your home’s waste newsprint, cardboard, glass, and metal can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 850 pounds a year” (CU Facts). letting these materials become recycled instead of being thrown in landfills let the rest of the trash decay at the very slow rate it already goes without having to go around the not needed materials. Having these bins could help the already sorta polluted is being clouded by the sand processing machines across the river from pecan plantation. Eliminating as much environmental impact as possible needs to become Pecan and Granburys worry since we 've already put in multiple mining plants, a dam, and even a nuclear power plant. although it may be a little expensive to buy more recycling bins but in the long run the community would save money and the environment keeping less trash out for the garbage man to pick up and more plastics, bottles, and cans filling the bins can help save cost on how many garbage trucks need to come through and the air would become a little more pure.…

Nonetheless, unlike how issues concerning stormwater and rainwater are viewed as “significant,” issues relating to littering are not. There is an immoderate amount of waste that can be found in the laneways of Melbourne due to improper disposal of waste products. In countless laneways and streets, coffee cups, used tissues, half-eaten foods, gum wrappers, and several other rubbish. Although there are rubbish bins that were found located in quite a number of locations, and signs stating ‘No Dumping’(see figure 6), it is evident that there is quite a number of people who choose to avoid using these bins and decide to disobey this rule. However, the amount of rubbish seems to differ highly depending on how frequently the laneway was found.…

The idea is great but it brings everything to a ridiculous level. If the law was passed it could turn the average joe into a criminal because he accidently put a piece of paper in the compost. well now joe has a record and never ment to actually do that and it was just an accident. The final reason I think this idea will not work and is just down right creepy is the trash police, say you have a really heavy bin do you want people to know how much trash you produce a week or what you specifically produce for trash I thought not.…

People value their privacy. I coudln't say that I would feel very happy about seeing a trash police look through my trash, and be fined for mistakingly putting something in the wrong bin. If Gatesburg was to place these recycling laws into action they will have to take into consideration of how people would feel about their invasion of privacy in their own home. Besides that I feel like the GatesburgGoGreen Initiation wouldn't be such a terrible idea. It would actually be a great thing for the community and help with the trash waste growth a…

With people, comes trash, and this inevitability is what is causing New-Yorkers so much headache. Previously, trashcans were placed underground in the subway terminals. Though this seemed like it was the best option for the placement of the trashcans, they would often be overflowing and rat-infested by days’ end. Consequently, to solve this problem, city officials decided to remove thirty of the trashcans, and place the remaining ones at the entrances to the underground terminals (Fitzsimmons). By taking away trashcans, city officials just made it harder for a large amount of trash to be disposed of.…

All trash disposals would have to be collected by a building service worker, if they do not see a sticker they would not collect or they would record the offense and charge an appropriate fee. This represents an extra labor cost that the fee would have to accommodate for. The labor costs should not be excessive as many vendors only empty their trash minimally and building service trash collectors already pass by vendors to collect hallway streams. This is still a cost that needs to be calculated and entered…

Society nowadays face many problems as a whole, as well as problems individually in different neighborhoods. In the surrounding area of Woodside, Queens there are many issues in which should be fixed in order to provide a happier living environment for its residents. Although it is a personal choice to litter and be impatient to locate a trashcan, lack of trash bins for disposable waste is a major issue. Let’s say you go out for a walk with a bag of chips.…

Those that rely on these dumps for their income wow they do not have the money necessary to afford daily expenses and the necessary requirements to sustain life. A solution to prevent the toxic fumes and chemicals from lingering in the air has been proposed, the idea is to “incarcerate the waste to produce energy” (Clarke, 2016). This new idea would produce energy from the burning of garbage which would benefit the country, it would also lessen the amount of garbage in the dump as well as all the chemicals that are produced from the decomposing garbage. However, the issues become between deciding what is more important, ‘rag pickers’ keeping their job or quickly disposing of toxic and dangerous waste.…
