Recycling In The United States

Decent Essays
The question at hand is, should the communities throughout the United States be made,by law, to recycle? First, recycling is a very important part of our everyday life. I believe, that we should recycle everyday for our enviroment and health. We should teach our children to recycle as well.In contrast, I believe that it should also be our choice whether or not to recycle, and not the Environmental Protention Agency. For example, some people may get confused when it comes to which recycling bin certian items go in.Therefore,I believe they should not be punished due to that.Recycling is still a great idea and should be done, we should still not be forced to do so.However,we should still recycle on our own to improve our enviroment.

I certainly do believe recycling amongst other forms of keeping the environment clean (waste, water, and energy) should be continued because of its long term importance. Moreover, I do agree that individuals should not have to worry about keeping the environment clean but I do not agree with the argument Jensen is trying to make on how industry is to blame. Regardless individuals would be to blame since we run industries and have control over emission use and keeping the environment…

It has come to my concern and attention that recycling should be mandatory in ISA. Americans make more than 200 million tons of garbage each year due to the garbage outburst that is not recycled. I personally believe that recycling should be mandatory in ISA because the EPA system averages out that 75% of the American waste stream of garbage is only 30% recycled which isn’t even half of it. Therefore ISA should go green and have recycle bins which then the recycled items will be processed to a recycling company. One of the reasons recycling should be mandatory is because it will protect wildlife from decreasing the risk of killing an animal from lake to sea, or from forest to rivers.…

Composting school lunches should be mandatory because it helps reduce the amount of trash in landfills and that really helps the enviroment. So much students at schools across the nation don't even eat half of their lunches and throw them away. Instead of throwing them away and hurting our enviroment, the uneaten food from school cafeterias should be composted to help reduce the amount of trash in landfills. When we thow trash into the wastes and oceans, we're putting trash in our oceans which is hurting the enviroment, and the animals living around that area. Also, we can try to recycle more actively in our schools.…

Meals That Almost Were The vast majority of the modern population can afford the luxury of an adequate daily food supply and, therefore, take it for granted. Millions of pounds of food end up in our landfills on the journey from farm to their final destination. The pounds of food in landfills that goes to waste also contributes partially to the production of greenhouse gasses. Trash is a problem in our modern society, admit we cant hardly get rid of it , and now we can fix a big part of this problem by just composting in our school. Composting is the more reasonable thing to do, mostly because throwing all of our trash in one place is wrong. Schools don't want to compost because they think its to much trouble, and not many people want to do that type of work. On the other hand people are saying that land fills are getting at capacity with trash from the neighboring schools. My opinion is that people need to stop being so unproductive and just get it over with.…
