Parks and Recreation’s first episode aired in 2009, and The Office’s first episode aired Whitney Taylor in 2005. These two shows are different in the ways that, The Office is about this group of people that work for a paper company where as in Parks and Recreation they work for the government. They are also different in the ways that The Office has a male main character who is Michael Scott and Parks and Recreation has Leslie Knope. Also in The Office the show primarily takes place in the office whereas with Parks and Recreation they do a lot of work around their city. Although Parks and Recreation and The Office have many differences they are in fact extremely similar. Parks and Recreation and The Office take place in similar environments.
