This is important because heroin abuse is a rising epidemic within the US. Opioid analgesics are commonly used to decrease postoperative pain levels, but put patients at risk for developing drug dependence and other side effects. She found that TENS and acupuncture therapies demonstrated statistical significance in reducing postoperative pain and opioid usage for patients in acute care settings.…

My Rescue Plan If I was ever marooned on an island there would be many things I would to to be rescued. One thing I would need to do to be rescue is I would find a stick and make a fire and light up the stick to make a torch for someone to see me if it is dark when I am waving it. When I have the torch in my hand and I saw an aircraft or a boat I would chase down it and wave the torch and yell out that I am here. My second plan to be rescued on an island is to use pebbles or a stick and spell “HELP” on the beach for aircrafts to come to the island and to know if someone is stranded on the island.…

Those personal challenges together with my professional psychiatric nursing experience have contributed to my interest in advanced education. After careful thought, I have drawn the conclusion that the obvious career direction for which I am best suited, by nature and by prior undergraduate…
