Recovering Eighth Grade

Decent Essays
I will be writing this essay to give advice to upcoming eighth graders. I will speak in three main points in this essay. Eighth grade is not that hard if you try. But trying includes dedication, dedication means school first. In this essay I will talk about how hard you need to work, how some of the teachers work, and finally the best class in my opinion.
First, I will write on how hard you need to work. When you get in the eighth grade, it is a different ball game. If you do not do your homework in Coach Davis’s class then you will fail the test. You need to be dedicated to do school work before any other hobby besides going to church. If you work hard, there is no reason why you couldn’t make straight A’s you eighth grade year.
Next, I will

Upon enrolling in high school I realized that I could no longer put an average effort into easy class work and be rewarded with academic satisfaction. After joining the honors course along with band and the FFA, it was revealed to me that high school was a different culture than middle school. I quickly discovered that hard work would be required to be successful in everything I will ever do. Band demanded countless hours of practice, but I ultimately gained first chair in the top band, as well as squad leader over the trumpet section. Like band, the FFA required hours of dedication, but I distinguished myself from other FFA members.…

Three weeks into the school year, you notice that one of your eighth-grade students is consistently disengaged during lessons. Your assessments show that the student is well-below grade level in reading and mathematics. Answer both of the questions below, keeping each answer to about 150 words in…

Being afforded the opportunity to take a high school class in eighth grade was my chance to capture a part of the daily life of a “regular” high schooler. This preview was essential for the successes obtained in my high school career, aside from the fact that this experience was nothing like those forthcoming. While eventually going to a new high school, I realized there would be no upperclassmen to look up to; therefore, having no precedent was a challenge I would face. This challenge was met with frustration by most.…
