Although, his writing is fictional, it remains based about Americans in the Vietnam War era. His writing is so emotional, and feels as surreal as he carries you through the journey of the stories. Making the audience feel as if they are truly standing in that minefield with that character waiting for the next step, and praying with the person he is writing about; will you make it to your step with all body parts in place? Alternatively, what should happen next? He writes with life or death always a question. His writing style has a type of panache about the wartime that although, it is fictional, it makes you feel it, can pertain to any time, in any era, not just the Vietnam War nevertheless the here and now as …show more content…

The role of the war in this story is significant because it causes the characters to remain challenged, it creates surreal terrain for the characters to deal with, and it causes the individual imaginations to run fiercely.

A. In my paper, I will describe some setting in which the characters go through for example the jungle, and minefields.
B. In this paper, I intend to define how the characters senses help portray to help them get through some of their obstacles in order to regain some form of sanity.
C. Therefore, while doing this paper, hope to accomplish showing the theme of the author’s message of imagination of fiction to some point of reality.
