Statistics is used on this case to determine which individual is at risk more. For example, according to statsticsbrains.com men are more likely to be in an accident. Reckless driving 3.41:1, DUI 3.09:1, seat belt violation 3.08:1, and etc. This all demonstrate females are better drivers which allows the insurance provider to give cheaper rates to females than males. Also, statistics also show at the age of 16-19 both male and females are more likely to get into a fatal accident which allows them to understand the rates they need to provide for younger individuals.
