Recess is a time for kids to be kids, students can play sports, catch up with friends they don't have classes with or do some homework sitting outside. Middle School students want recess so Middle School should have it. Recess is a break from school but it isn't in middle school. Recess is wanted, it's a pretty low cost, it has benefits and evidence shows it's good for kids. Most importantly, there are many learning benefits. Research supports our idea. An expert says, kids get 42% of their exercise.(slate.com) This evidence shows that recess can help kids. Middle School students want recess so Middle School should have it. Recess is a break from school but it isn't in middle school. In addition it is wanted by students.

Middle School South students want recess, this evidence shows how. 107 middle school students were asked questions and 84.1% said yes to having recess.
69.8% said recess should be earned. This means if you have late work you must complete it. 82.2% said they would rather have recess in the afternoon. 78.5% of students said recess would make them in a better mood. This could improve grades. Recess has a lot of
