Recess is a time for kids to be kids, students can play sports, catch up with friends they don't have classes with or do some homework sitting outside. Middle School students want recess so Middle School should have it. Recess is a break from school but it isn't in middle school. Recess is wanted, it's a pretty low cost, it has benefits and evidence shows it's good for kids. Most importantly, there are many learning benefits. Research supports our idea.
