For the many instances where New Criticisms proves its impracticality and uselessness, Psychological Criticism inversely thrives when applied to Brave New World. The reason Psychological Criticism works so well is because of the way the story emerges the reader into perspectives and experiences from numerous characters. Each of these characters is a piece, cut from a literary template that can be dissected in order to gain a psychological understanding for Aldous Husley’s life experiences. By analyzing the way different characters react to the same situation the reader gains a better comprehension for their personalities. A profound moment in the development of both Bernard Marx and Lenina Crowne is illustrated in a scene where they are…

One of our all-time favorite tabletop games is One Night Ultimate Werewolf. It 's not terribly involved, you can play it multiple times in the span of when you would only be able to play most other games once. It 's always fun to watch everyone try to argue their way out of being chosen as the werewolf. We don 't own the game personally and usually play it at the comic store 's Tabletop Night with other people if someone brought their copy. The sequel, One Night Ultimate Werewolf Daybreak is fun too, it 's basically the same game, just the add on of new roles.…

In his book What’s Wrong with the World, G.K. Chesterton states “If a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly.” Chesterton does not mean that if saving lives is worth doing, we should all run around with no medical knowledge trying to save lives, or that if our room needs cleaning, it is okay to clean it poorly. What he means is that if the more important things in life are worth doing, it is okay to do them poorly because it is more important that we do them rather than not do them at all. Up until my freshman year, I was a living a life that could be summed up in a version of the quote that would say “If a thing is worth doing, I should avoid it and someone else can do it instead because I am not the right person to be doing this thing.”…

One cultural bias this author would like to share with the reader is about tattoos. This involves any individual who decides to wear a tattoo. For this writer, it is very difficult to see tattoos as an art. During her childhood, she was indoctrinated with the idea that whenever there is a person with a tattoo, this individual must either be a delinquent or a gang member who contributes little or nothing to society. This bias has created difficulty in communicating with these type of individuals because, right away, a wall of prejudice is built.…

According to Korn (2014) critical thinking is a critical skill for young workers these days. What that means, though and how to measure it is less clear. Employers complain that colleges are not producing graduates who can solve problems and connect the dots on complex issues, but bosses stumble when pressed to describe exactly what skills make critical thinkers. That leaves job seekers wondering what employers really want and, once on the job, unsure of whether they’re supposed to follow the rules or break them. Mentions of critical thinking in job postings have doubled since 2009, according to an analysis by career-search site Indeed.com.…
