Rebellion In Animal Farm

The book Animal Farm, by George Orwell, is about a big group of animals that don’t like the way they are treated and they decide to rebel against the humans. This all started because Old Major had a dream about all of the animals living free from their human masters. Old Major died soon after, but the animals liking the idea of animalism, decided to rebel against Mr. Jones. After Mr. Jones left the farm, the pigs decided that they should be in charge, so they became the leaders, and made a set of rules for all of the animals to follow. The animals continued to work and do the same jobs that they did before. They might have traded with the humans in order to get the items that they can’t get on the farm. The pigs were the ones that slept in the house, even though the rules said that they can’t use things that the humans used. The animals worked in the fields and the orchards on the farm, they collected the eggs from the hens, and most of the things they collected, they kept, but some of the stuff they collected went to the humans for trade. Some of the characters are blamed for some of the things that happened on the farm, like one of the animals were used as a scapegoat and was blamed for the destruction of the windmill. Some of the characters from the story represent historical people and things. Napoleon is considered to be Joseph Stalin, Snowball is considered to be Leo Trotsky, the dogs can represent the military or the police, and Old Major acts in place of Karl Marx.
