Johnny was abused at home and then got jumped but that never stopped him from saving those little kids in the burning church. As the boys were on their way back to the church from Dairy Queen they saw that the church was up in flames, so they ran in to help little kids that were trapped. This just shows that how courageous Johnny is to save some little kids that he had never even met before.…

I Am Legend is a science fiction horror story but unlike most horror stories, "I Am Legend" is not a hero versus villain scenario. I am legend is set in a futuristic version of Los Angeles. Robert Neville, the last surviving human fights against a race of terrifying vampires. However what makes the book different to most is it doesn't glorify Neville's hatred towards the vampires, instead the author uses Neville's interaction with the vampires to study the concept of "otherness" - the way one group interacts with so called "others". As I Am Legend delves deeper into the story it shows that there are no real heroes or villains just groups, each of which fears and are equally "other" to each other.…

Some people do not know that they are even someone’s hero. When a person has the power to stand strong and fight for what they believe in they too can be a hero. These are the type of people that give others hope and save lives each and every day. You do not have to have super powers to save someone, you do not have to be in a position or a career where the main goal is to save someone’s life such as a doctor, a policeman or a firefighter. Heroes can be everyday people, such as a teacher; who teaches kids the everyday essentials of life to grow and be a better person, a parent; who guides and raise their children and protect their children, and even a janitor or trash man; people that help keep the environment clean for our safety and…
