Reasons Why Sports Professionals Are Paid

Decent Essays
Sports professionals in my country have become stars and celebrities of screen so they are paid huge salaries
Some people think it is unfair when their super salaries are far higher than other essential professionals such as research scientists, leading politicians, teacher and ect.
Other vital experts provide more valuable services to people while well-done athletes earn a wealth lifestyle only by entertaining.
It can be easy to see that politicians give many policies for developing society or scientists invent some items to help everyone in our life but they are paid less money than sports stars

The statement in which they ask if we believe it is fair that professional athletes and society entertainers get paid millions of dollars are year, while professionals who provide essential services do not is a bit flawed. The question is flawed because those are two professions cannot be compared. How does one compare an individual who trains all day and all night to become the best in world, verse someone who may just show up for their shift and leave. The reason why I say they are incomparable is because the two professions of an athlete, and teacher or nurse is that they are not on the same playing field or even same stadium. Professional athletes train and participate in their sport starting at the average age of 5.…

I've always wondered why entertainers and athletes get paid more than doctors, lawyers, military personnel, etc. I disagree, I think that people who actually make an impact on our country should get a higher salary than people who just entertain us. I think it is unfair for military personnel and doctors to get paid only 30 to 60 thousand a year while actors and actresses get paid 300 thousand a year. I will explain a bit more in the next few paragraphs. The first reason I disagree is because the people that keep us safe and make sure we are healthy are paid very little while actors, singers, etc get a bigger annual salary just to act in a movie or sing one song.…
