The end of the south's reconstruction did not happen because of many reasons and all events fell into place to lead to the non reconstruction and small but powerful significant events that lead to the fall of the south.

The southern states were not always truthful. They began to elect governments. Those governments were dedicated to whites only. Between 1870 and 1876 all but the three southern states turned back Reconstruction effort. My second reason on why i think the South killed Reconstruction is the voters. The northerners received more votes than the South. This outraged the South and didn’t go down easy. Political violence continued in the South and North got off free. Then Reconstruction policies in the South began to turn and the South did nothing. If I believed the North killed Reconstruction I’d say it for these reasons. First there would be the election. The northerners are brutal when it comes to elections and the southerners won against the South. The northerners became corrupt and got overrun from the election. The Reconstruction was officially dead. In conclusion, these are the reasons I believe the South killed Reconstruction. Also the counter argument why I believe the South killed Reconstruction.
