I was there when John F. Kennedy rounded the corner onto Elm St. and his face went blank. It was around 12:30 on November 22. I was recording the event for NBC, standing on a 4 ½ foot pedestal, there was a giant metal sign that would block my view for a few seconds. Looking back at it I should have moved to get a better shot. Little did I know that history would be made here and the footage that I took would be key evidence for determining what really happened. When the first bullet was shot the bodyguard looked over his right shoulder. Hearing the shot he was already on edge. Between frame 223 and 224 of my video the bullet struck. After killing the president he tried to get a visa so he could leave America. At the time murdering the president was not a federal crime, but it was still murder. Assassinating the president wasn’t a federal crime until 1965. Enough about what happened, let's talk about people's reactions. Everybody was shocked, it was the most televised event at the time. Was their another shooter that was not found, Could it have been the Soviets, Fidel Castro, The United States military, or Vice President Lydon B. Johnson the real culprit behind the assissination of Kennedy? Over the years new theories that Oswald was not the only shooter that day in Dallas, maybe Oswald was working with someone who felt that Kennedy was a threat and needed to be delt with.…
