They practice hard everyday that they are not in a game and when they are in a game the push their limits on what they can do because they are being watched by millions of fans and potential pro teams coaches trying to give them the show that they paid for. They put their bodies on the line day in and day out just for a little chance to make it a little further in the future that most people don’t make it to because of injuries or the lack of talent the needed to get to that level. Even former UCLA star Ed O’bannon believes college players should be paid, he says that ¨ I just think they that along with their possible degrees that they are getting, they should be compensated for it.¨ He says that they should get something, not $1million but to be recognized for bringing the schools so much money ( stated on CNBC.com )
They should not be paid because they are only in college and not the professional league. They shouldn’t be paid in college when most of them will not even make it to the pros. They may just take the money if they are paid for the season before hand and leave the team because they have the money now.
