Slavery started around the 1400’s in Africa. When the slavery started it was not about the skin color. When someone became a slave in Africa it was because of the following: one the person was indebted, two because of religious persecution or three the person became captive from war. If Slavery started in Africa then why Europeans should be blame for the Atlantic slave trade?
Even when slavery already existed in Africa it was first brought to Europe when Henry Navigator went to an African and got a few slaves and took them back with him to Europe and gave the slaves as a gift to the pope. As a thank you for the slaves the pope gave to Henry land of West Costal Africa land that didn’t even belong to the pope. When the pope gave that land to
