ENG 112 is a course required for all college students and it continues to expand a student’s ability to write and research well. Writing and research are both helpful skills to have in order for a people to excel in their careers. However, these vital skills cannot be taken advantage of unless they are thoroughly studied in the first place. The choice to be successful in ENG 112-107 is only the first step towards success in the class and in the workplace. I plan to put time and effort into my homework and class work so that my desired success can be achieved. I believe for me to be personally successful in this course I will need to spend adequate time on homework and writing assignments. Attending class is a must because I cannot be successful without knowing what is going on. I will continue to exercise my strengths in writing which include the ability to represent ideas clearly and effectively. In addition, I plan to continue to overcome my weaknesses in writing such as proper comma usage. Reading the assigned chapters of the textbook, Building Bridges through Writing, will be a part of my efforts because this holds the keys to unlocking stronger writing and research skills. My writing assignments will be turned in hardcopy form in class and on Blackboard. I will attend all of the workshops so that my three major assignments can be improved upon through advice from fellow students and potentially Mrs. Proctor. Homework, the INFOLIT modules, MyWritingLab, and classwork will receive equal effort and care. Respectful language and actions will be shown towards Mrs. Proctor, fellow classmates, and the building.
