Many of these victims could be immigrants. Because of these narrow minded idiots they call bullies there will still be racism in the country not only that but the world too. These thick headed people don’t take the time to think who those people are. They just become racial stereotypes and expect people from that race to be this and that, but no that’s not the case here. They determine who the person by what they look like. They determine who the person by what they look like. Not only that but we have a strong stubbornness against change. With this this in mind many people refuse to change their ways and beliefs because it’s just how we human beings are. It’s hard for us to change and develop in the new society. The main reason for why racism exists is due to the human need to feel superior/dominant over the individuals in one’s environment called the Superior Complex (Mehta). This Superiority Complex can come from many different things such as narcissism and even a lack of self-esteem. An example of this “superior complex” can be seen in India during daily routines. In India, maids, taxi drivers, and waiters are considered to be inferior to those that they are serving. People who hold these occupations are regarded as nothing better than slaves ready to serve a master (Mehta).…

Racism, a very controversial subject, is the root of blocking America to advancing any further as a society. Racism is the verbal expression, thoughts, and actions one may display if they dislike another skin color, nationality or someone even as slight different than them. Racism is a plague that affects many people and they couldn’t even know it. Racism in the year 2017 is very different than racism in the 19th-century, instead of physical racism, it’s now not even physical or direct at all. This is a major illusion for most people, people who choose employees based off skin color, police officers who don’t search the speeding driver because he is white, or the assumption all Western born people are extremists.…

Race and Racism “Racism springs from the lie that certain human beings are less than fully human. It 's a self-centered falsehood that corrupts our minds into believing we are right to treat others as we would not want to be treated”. Racism feeds into the egotistic minds of people who believe they are superior to others because of their own race. Unfortunately, there are not any clear answers about why people have these traits and choose to believe them. The only thing we can do is understand the historical origins of the idea of race.…

Australian Human Right Commision says, “This is what Australians told us about how they feel about racism: It makes me feel like I am lower than everyone else, an intruder who is not part of this society. It offends me, angers me, frustrates me, but most of all it saddens me”, this is a great example to why this affects the world. (Why Racism?). Another way it affects our society because it is so accustomed to us, that we didn’t realize that the next president that we elected, is an actual racist. We were too prone to seeing racism that we were blind when this happened, but now since this has happened, many things will try to be passed to keep Mexicans and Muslims and other races out of America.…

Taylor Coward SUNY Cobleskill English Is racism a learned behavior or human nature? The past few years in America have showed the true racist colors that paint our nation. Racism is a very controversial topic here in the United States (and in my classroom but, it’s something I desperately need to speak about).
