Why Bullying Is Bad

Why Not to Bully A lot of people believe that bullying is not that bad. Bullying effects kids all over the world. Kids get bullied for multiple reasons. Sometimes the kids cannot help what they are being bullied for. “Bully victims are between two to nine times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims.” (www.bullyingsstatistics.com). Some kids do not tell if they are bullied. “64 percent of children who were bullied did not report it; only 36 percent reported the bullying.” (www.pacer.org). People bully others often thinking it is fun. However, it is actually very hurtful to a lot of kids and can even scar them for life. One of the biggest reasons kids get bullied is because of their weight. I was personally bullied for this exact reason as a kid. This can cause a bunch of issues in kids. They are more likely to form an unhealthy eating habit. An example would be eating as little as possible. Not eating enough can start to destroy the kid and possibly make them feel sluggish. Some of these features can include things like having a big nose, curly hair, different shaped eyes, and any deformation. These things a kid cannot help and can lead to feeling embarrassed of one’s face or body. They will do a lot to things to try to cover up the issue such as wearing a hoodie and pulling it over the area. It can get so bad kids will want to have plastic surgery so they can fix the issue. Once somebody starts having plastic surgery they can get addicted to it. They think that they can make themselves look better so people will like them more. Some kids know they cannot afford it and that their parents will not let them have the risky procedure. They can start to become depressed and not want to go to school to face other kids or even go outside so other people can judge them. It can get bad enough that they commit
