The grading systems in some schools are difficult compared to other schools. Bigger schools usually have a harder grade scale than smaller schools. Cheating will occur often because they feel their grading scale makes it harder for them to achieve the grades they want. Teachers have harsh grading techniques and make tests designed for students to do poorly. Schools recommend certain test designs, which may be challenging for the majority of the students. Not only do students have to worry about the unfairness of these processes, but teachers give unfair amounts of homework. The amount of homework given, on top of a test to study for, makes students anxious so they decide to cheat. Students cheat because they do not like the unfairness of the schools and teachers processes.
There are many different reasons to why students cheat. Students will say cheating is single-handedly the easiest thing do. Cheating helps students achieve good grades to get into bigger and better colleges. Teachers tell you not to cheat, yet they do not enforce it enough to where the students listen. The rate of students cheating in high school is increasing and will continue to do so as the years go on.
