On August 6, 1945 I would advised President Truman regarding the dropping of the bomb by saying it is a good idea to do because they bombed us at Pearl Harbor, they are part of fascism, and they have American prisoners. I would also advised to the President that the atomic bomb would be quick and easy end rather than causing untold suffering. Although, the bomb will kill thousands of Japanese soldiers and civilians and maybe more, we will be saving more American lives. My first reason is important to understand because the bombing of Pearl Harbor was the reason why we went to war. We tried to stay neutral because we knew what war was like, so we left Europe alone, but then Japan bombed us, so they should deserve to be bombed back
