The Intelligent and Morbidly Healthy Ways of Realizing Mortality
Death, something that no one wants to think about but eventually has to come to terms with. The last great adventure that everyone must one day face. A complete mystery surrounded by blind faiths and speculation when it arrives. No one truly knows what happens to you when you die and this causes most to fear and forget the subject entirely. Everything about death and how many try so hard to forget about it is troubling, an eventuality the will come sooner than many believe. There are so many ways to come to terms with it and there really isn’t a best way to do it. Some have been categorized into healthy, some …show more content…
By that I mean someone looks up the cold hard facts and just doesn’t care about the situation, or even worse they scare them closer to their grave. The logical side of things are sometimes easier for people to take but they don’t cover everyone. Not everyone is ok with just facts and unknown mysteries. These select few are usually ok with it all. These facts are processed slowly to them though and in some cases causes them to be emotionless to death. Now I don’t mean not caring whether someone dies or even comes close to death, no I mean that they themselves start doing things that could decrease their lives. They start thinking “Well I might as well do this before I go,” which in some cases are death defying things like skydiving, mountain climbing or even just simple things like drinking more alcohol. That states “Within three days of death, the enzymes that once digested your dinner begin to eat you.” This is an older article from discover magazine that would give you the process of certain events in your body. The fact is interesting enough but somewhat creepy and disturbing. What would they imagine reading this during a …show more content…
These instances vary depending on how you go about it. These instances are known as religions. The fact of the matter is that many embrace religion because of their natural fears of dying and worry of no afterlife. They jump on this band wagon because each religion preaches and talks about life after death and how great it is. They ask only that you take it on faith alone because just like everyone else in the world they are clueless about the afterlife. None of these religions actually know of what happens, they just follow the sacred scripture of their choosing that tells them how to get in. However if you don’t follow it strictly and by the book they are going to their personal beliefs of what hell truly is, each one similar to the other. Although it seems like a weird way to relieve the pressure of the oncoming eternal rest, it is without a doubt one of the healthiest ways possible to conquer your mortality. This is done by their faith and belief, but usually chalked up to a message religions give about death. This message is different throughout different religions, however John Flavel’s words in his online article The Christian View of Death, is almost universal. John states “By death, God often removes people out of the way of great troubles and temptations,” which basically states that if they die at least they’re not going to live to see the really
