Applying this Reality Therapy with SM would come in both couple and family therapy because there are so many cultural issues surrounding her marriage and family. SM would be able to sit down with her family and husband, and explain to them all her needs and desires, which would hopefully be accepted by both parties with love and respect. SM states that she was attracted to her husband one time. Allowing SM to discuss with her husbands her needs in order to get back to a point where she feels how she once felt for him will be key. There seems to be no lines of communication open, and if there are, they are not receptive. So opening receptive lines of communication will come right after SM’s own acknowledgment of what she needs to change in herself.
