In this case, the Reality Television Shows are not “real” as its premise is designed to be anymore. They are far away from reality. Many news expose that some of shows we usually watch are actually fake and scripted in someway. For example, The Hills, an American Reality TV Show series portrays lives of young women from Los Angeles. Every season basically starts with the formation of relationships between major characters and ends with a developmental finale. The episodes of the show mostly focuses on the lives of the women and nurtures the audience members the idea that love is hard to hold on to. However, during Bethenny Frankel’s self-titled talk show in 2013, Kristin Cavallari, one of its minor cast members has admitted that The Hills is actually pretty fake. She reveals, “I faked relationships, fake fights [...] on The Hills, they had us (she and her ex-boyfriend Brody Jenner) ‘dating’ for a few episodes. They pretended that him and Jayde ( Brody’s current girlfriend ) broke up and I was dating Brody, and Jayde and I got in to a huge fight becasue she saw us in a club. It wasn’t real at all. They were together the entire time.” As Cavallari reveals the truth behind The Hills, we notice that the Reality Television Show is just a “show”, an drama. Although dramas are often written based on people’s real lives, they still have other elements that are difficult to find in the reality, such as so many coincidences happen among these characters. She also revealed that she had broken up with Brody long times ago since she was 18, but the producer still asked them to have a date. It represented that they are still loving each other but their true selves are actually not. Then, the fight between Cavallari and Jayde becomes completely meaningless and hilarious because
