These plot twists are not simple though, majority of the time the plot twists futuristic or even unreal to give the reader a sense of how imaginative the mind of the main character really is. At the same time the author will maintain a specific amount of realism to show the reader how unrealistic stories can in fact be closer to reality than one might think at first glance. On some occasions the author may openly admit that the main character may have a type of mental illness or psychological issue. When the author does this he or she follows the main character through his or her daily life and depicts the constant battle of the chaos of reality and the simplicity and pleasure of the world the character wants to live in. when this is done the sense of fantasy is depicted by internal desires, doubts, and suspicions. These worked are often more focused on the main character rather than the world around him or her.
