To begin with, student interest in science and mathematics is dropping.. Real science, that isn’t taught in textbook but rather through experiments is much more enjoyable for not only students to learn, but teachers to teach. Many studies have proven that students retain more information from hands on learning rather than that from a textbook. Many American citizens wish to pursue careers in the scientific field, however because of high college costs students can’t afford to further their education. After most students complete college their usually left with outstanding debt. This decreases interest in the field, simply because of high school costs in the United States.
